What I'm tired about is that many of the people fight against the wrong things. Of course, women and men should have the same rights, salary and everything but when people start protest against the hospitals becaus they use blue blankets for the newborn boys and pink ones for the girls and say that they are sexist becaus of that then I feel that I can't take them serious...

I was told to listen to Simon & Garfünkel cause they were a legendary singer/songwriter duo. But from the first seconds, the summercampmood in those songs annoys me... :?

When the TV music has the same bass frequenze as the plastic the TV is made of.
So all you hear is a violent buzzing noise from the TV. :x

Lucky then to have an external speaker system to shut the TV speaker off.

You have so right I think...why does everything has to be driven into the most extreme possible ways? Learn the boy childs to look and act like girls and the girls to look and act like boys because that's the new moral standard that is the correct standart no matter what the children wants. Learn your cats and dogs to eat vegetables 'cos meat is a bad thing to eat and that's the new standard witch is the right standard no matter what the animals wants to eat.

Never install a software from Microsoft into a Mac...ok, I guess that's enough for today.
That last one was a joke. :mryellow:

This doesn't so much" tease " me or annoy me .... rather make me sad and a little unhappy - what am I talking about ? - the atmosphere on the forums at the moment ( it is more obvious @ SOF , but that feeling is starting to taint here too, just a tiny bit ...... :( ) . I know this kind of thing happens every once in a while , but I thought the infighting and intolerance between members that helped to destroy the atmosphere @ jarre.net after a while had gone away...... apparently not.. :(

In the end of the day, we are all Jarre fans to differing degrees, whether we choose to write in/visit this forum, or SOF , or both. ... and in the end, it is down to that - just a matter of choice. No one site is better than the other - they compliment each other. I can only speak for myself. I am registered at both forums - I tend to be more active here. Reasons: - I migrated here, with quite a few others, from the ashes of the community @ jarre.net forum. I made friends of people there ( Geejee, AnDrOiD, Nico, CLUBMIX, Big time and others ) and most of them gathered around Geejee's project and came here. This was up and running before SOF ... simple as that. I visit zoolook.nl for my friends, for a chat, for any information going around ( official or not ). ... I visit SOF ( and Jarreuk.com) for more information ( stuff that might not of reached here yet ). I find SOF appears to be populated more by the the über fans... those who have strong opinions, those who know so much more about Jean Michel and his work than me ( or at least they sound like they do 8) ). As for duplication of info - yes, I have posted stuff from Jarreuk @ zoolook, but so have others ( more notably Robbie and Ralf ). I am sure the flow goes the other way too.... Information is there to be shared amongst us all - there shouldn't be a 'them' and 'us' among friends, should there ?

As for the present saga of the fake Youtube site ..... wouldn't a disgruntelled member of SOF ...or even those people who set up the fake Aero prod site - after all, Robin did expose their site as fake ( just a suggestion, nothing more ) be a more realistic suspect than who was named ?

Ok - rant over ... back to my usual ( silent ) status.....

@littlesister
I am also in multible forums surrounding Jarre and a little fascinating thing about that youtube "accident" you're refering to (I think) was that it didn't take very long before name was named openly on the board for everyone to see insted of just pm or mailing to people in private if somebody was found suspicious in any way... I just think it would have been a nice thing to do before anybody have any clear evidence againt any member on these forums.
Talks behind backs is something I strongly disagree in.
I think I know what you mean...it feels like there is more dissapointments and "cake throwing" at...
some other forum than this one, so I guess this shouldn't be here at all, ha ha.

I only go to SoF for news and check for some interesting files if any are floating around.

However, I've made a small chart about basic forum comparison, concerning a typical thread on both forums:

Typical thread in Zoolook.nl:
[Opening post]
[Stuff about it]
[Hey, where's Ronja?]
[ONTOPIC PLEASE!]
[AaaaanDrOiD, have you forgot to upgrade your firmware again?]
[ONTOPIC!]
[More stuff about original subject]
[Hey, look at my shiny new pants]
[LOOOOOOOOOL]
[ONTOPIC PLEASE!]
[More like ontopic cheese]
[Stuff about original subject maybe]
[ONTOP- oh, carry on!]
[And so on...]

- - -

Typical thread in SoF:
[Opening post]
[Stuff about it]
[Hey, did you know Jarre mimes in his concerts?]
[No way!]
[Yes way!]
[No way, because he does and I've played synths the day I was born so I KNOW THAT so STFU]
[Jarre hasn't done a single good album since Metamorphoses]
[DUDE Meta sucked and JMJ hasn't done a single good album since Waiting for Cousteau]
[Hey, did you know Jarre mimes?]
[Haven't we, like, gone through this every single day since 1988?]
[You know what he should do? Not mime in his concerts!]
[Did you know GeeJee is evil?]
[Damn GJ!]
[What was the original topic again? *checks* Oh if Jarre mimes or not.]
[Hey, did you know Jarre mimes?]
[And so on...]

In SoF's defence, that's exactly what Jarre.net was. In other words, SoF has retained the legacy of Jarre.net while Zoolook.nl has started to form a new community with some old traits (mostly people).

...and haven't we gone through this like before? :? :P

When people thinks they know everything and that they are superiour to all other fans or members of a forum, that forum easily turns into a toxic place to go. I've seen it alot of times too.

I've been at a forum for rat-owners and the feeling of that forum is crazy, in the offtopic forum you find people that are too bipolar in the feeling that there is no grays in this world only black and white. If you come with a problem you get a few random posts and that is enough. And in the other forums the feeling is, if you do not do like the pros do and if you do not have alot of money you are a bad rat-owner...I rarely go there anymore. I know that the questions I want to ask people and the topics I want to start is better to start over here. Andno way you can talk about how to help a sick rat to die if you are miles away from the vet....holy crazy place...

I've once went to Mick Jaggers forum. Go there and stay for a couple of months and you will see the forum from hell. There is so much tention there, no moderators and people being mad, bad and non-adult to each other. That forum is filled with trolls that just wanna start a fight whenever there is a split of ideas between two of the members. There is one camp that wants a more off-topic, good-attitude feeling over there, but they are constatly kicked down by those who defend Mick Jagger to the exstent that I guess Mick Jagger would hate them. No Mick Jagger feels bad and cry because a fan paints a Santa-claus hat on his head and a sack in his hand on an allready existing pickture where he is wrapped up against a ladder. But that was what made them angry at me, when I did it...if you want the pics I will post them. Enough about that.

About this miming topic (Don't start a whole debate on it here though), but I guess that fans got to accept a few things. If you want to miming, you have to get the grip of it all. Do you want to have 10-20 people on stage playing the music live always and no special effects when it comes to Jarre? Jarre pointed out early on that his conserts were conceptual ideas of his music and that they were peices of art. Art can stand in the way of autencity when it comes to how you want the thing to be presented. If fans want him to stop miming I guess there got to be more concerts like the one with just 100 in the audience and nothing to look at. If you want an audience of over 10 000 people you got to look at the whole picture. And that there is a whole debate going on with this over and over among fans of Jarre is not helping him. So now I stop and ask you to not respond to this fact but to the debate about it. It is nuts in my opinion to be so stubborn on your own ideas that you get a forum filled with a bad feeling among people...

So I understand you totally in this mater, it is crazy. We are friends and we are fans of one man, we don't like all the things he do, and we don't hate the man either. So lets enjoy him the way he wants to be. And lets get together and celabrate life instead!!!!

Enough from me on this topic...
