I had three Polysix and all of them had this battery leakage problem. As long the solder tacks of the 74LS08 are affected, it is no big problem to repair. But if the conductive strips and the RAM/ADC below are also attacked, -then- you´ll have a problem.....the Polysix mainbaord is really obsolete, but i am working on a replacement part. Oldcrows sells one, but he is located afaik in the US and the board costs afair 150$ without shipment. For me simply too expensive.
But in first order i have to repair the JP8000. Enough work for 1/2 days.
