Found it after very quick search... Here you go :)

I really hope Jarre someday decides to release that version of Equinoxe Part 5... I dig it
Wow, this is more interesting than all the noise.
Where and when is this from?

My Rarities vinyl album is at my local post office now and I'm going to bring it home tomorrow.
Can't wait...I can smell it all the way from here. :P

The parcel from Amazon was crushed and damage during the shipping.
Low and behold the album was completely intact. I'll keep the plastic skin on the cover. :fine:
Still I'm not too sure about the content of Rarities but the design is very sexy.
Nothing like playing a new vinyl when the center hole is so tight you really have to give it a good push onto the turntable.

Am I right in thinking that Essentials and Rarities, a best-of album, was around a year in the making... as a preview track, the Vitalic remix of La Cage was released with a magazine in March 2010.

Yes, La Cage was planned to be rereleased on 7" or 12" last year, with the remixes (it being 40 years old that year and such), but that never happened.

The fact that they weren't re-released is probably a blessing. The 'bonus' releases on the 'Rarities' CD were nothing more than fillers. JMJ has so much more to offer than this drose.

Sorry, but this really is the end of the line. I guess there'll be die hard supporters that swallow every word.

This is one of the big gripes I have with Jarre. He has patched things up with Dreyfus Music. How many albums did he release with them?, lots. How many out-takes, mixes, unreleased tracks were done that we do not know about. A large boxset would be my ultimate Jarre item featuring as many as possible tracks from these albums and across those years. If not a boxset, more money could be made from re-releases of albums in expanded form featuring unused tracks, mixes and 12" and alternative versions. I really REALLY don't understand their logic.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

Regarding the loudness war, there is a very interesting essay regarding mastering on Kate Bush's official website. Particularly interesting is the section on 'normalizing' in the mastering process. Her new album is now available as a 96 kHz / 24 Bit Hi Res download.

There's a problem with downloading one of the tracks, so the page is down for the last few days. It's supposed to be online again soon ...

Seriously bumping this one, recently got an email from Qobuz that a number of my purchases would be removed from being able to be redownloaded soon.
I checked and it seemed only one purchase, completely unrelated to this, would disappear. However it appears that this one (the Rarities part) has also been removed from being redownloaded.
We've reached the point where not just the digital extras will disappear, also your digital purchases of Jarre will disappear at some point.

Welcome to the future ya'll!
