When I was working on a project about La Défense, I was using some kind of French archival website that had a ton of photos of the area, it wasn't INA but I think it was tied to the French government.
When I have some free time I'll need to see if they have anything about the 1979 Bastille Day celebrations as a whole, there might be a chance that there's some photos of the concert there if it was archived. Worth a shot, right?
See earlier in this thread. Four years ago, I asked about pre-concert publicity. For example, newspaper or magazine articles, printed flyers, posters etc.
I'd love to see materials shared before the concert. There must be something out there that announced the show. I can imagine fly-posters being stuck up around Paris on walls or buildings, featuring the Oxygene and Equinoxe cover artwork and a date and location.
I am aware the show was officially called "Paris: Blue-White-Red" and was an initiative of the Mayor of Paris office, at the time the incumbent was Jacques Chirac.
So, did the mayor's office produce all the pre-show publicity? Is it therefore a matter of public record?
Perhaps ask to see all the publications that came from the office of the Mayor of Paris in May, June and July 1979?
