Also someone mentioned (I think Dragon Lady) on another Jarre forum that Jarre had to borrow the equipment for the PLace de la Concorde Concert from Francis Rimbert and that's how they became friends :?:

That is true.

The mayor of Paris had to go through the sewers to get to his seat, as was stated in the Remilleux book.

Wasn't Mick Jagger in the audience and I think he was quoted as exclaiming "Holy Shit!" or something to that effect... Maybe "Bloody Hell!" would be more like it... :P

Seriously, I think Mick wanted to collaborate with Jarre after the event but *luckily* that didn't come to fruition :!:

Francis Rimbert worked for Korg back then demonstrating synths, so a lot of the synths were borrowed from Francis, the rest is presumed to be owned by JMJ himself.

Now I know where Jarre got the idea for the unshaven look and the long over-sized jacket... :punch:

now is the book "Concert D'Images" really all about that concert? I thought that this book was to go along with the 1989 exhibition at Les Halles..?

It's got like 5 photos of the La Concorde concert, next to China, Houston, Lyon and Docklands photos.

In fact, Jagger really asked for a collab., but JMJ refused due to lack of time. He already stated in '77 he'd left the songwriting era behind him with the 77 release of Juvet's Ou Sont Les Femmes.

@ Clubmix: You don't have this book? That is one of *THE BEST* Jarre photobooks!

I keep it by my bedside and read it before I go to bed everynight... :P
