Thats it, I have made up my mind . . . after seeing that advert I do not want to go to this concert. If it was "the very, very, very best", then yes, I would have gone. I will not settle for a plain, simple, old fashioned and quite frankly mundane and pathetic "very"

:wink:

You know, the very very very best is just a subset of the very very best which, again, is a subset of the very best.

Logically, this means that the very best is a lot more music (equals a longer concert) than if he only was to play the very very very best.

I'd prefer if he plays all his very best songs instead of just those among the very best that are great enough to even be among his very very very best.

Why doesn't he play only 'very' music? :P

The very best will do for me. 8) If you say "the very, very, very best", it sounds repetitious. :fine:

1. I have to ask, that what else did you expect??
2. What the tracklist is in this situation?

I think that Oxygene 4, Equinoxe 4 and magnetic fields 1 and/or 2 are on the list.

btw don't feel offended because of my question..

hello fellows,

I have been thinking about this very long, and this is what came out:

============================

After nearly seven years of research, preparation and working on the “Swiss Jean Michel Jarre Discography Project” (offline and online version), I have decided to discontinue updates the way it was until now. However, new Jarre releases will still be added as a part of the mission to be the world’s most comprehensive Jean Michel Jarre discography.

Please be aware that I haven’t lost interest in Jarre (being a fan for 30 years now; you don’t drop that so easily…), so there’s also good news to come. My decision was taken based on different facts, one of which being some sort of “laziness”. I haven’t been updating my site in a while, and once I do so, it simply takes me ages to get used to all the procedures again to accomplish my own high quality aspects. In other words: initial efforts to “restart” updating www.jarre.ch after a longer break are too high compared to the outcome (quantity-wise).

This leads me to the second (and in my opinion the more important) reason why I will offer only limited updating of my site from January 1st, 2009: Well-being issues. It was like this in the past and won’t change in the future: once I start working on www.jarre.ch, I don’t do that in reasonable extents – I nearly always exaggerate and am spending half my nights in front of the monitor. This would lead to another disturbed relation between sleep and wake phases again. I have been through this and I am very happy to say that this now belongs to the past rather than to the present, thank God!

Not at all saying that it’s www.jare.ch’s fault that I was down back in the years, but it surely was because of my very unreasonable way of living and spending my free time to a great extent. For me, it’s time to start living reasonably again and not putting anything at risk once more. I always wanted to do everything perfect, now I know that 100 percent is good enough, too…

So I hope that noone of you is too disappointed, as I am still willing to deliver quality, but not any longer in this wide range. Plus: www.jare.ch will not disappear (that’s what they always say after such an announcement); the website can still be used as source of information posted nowhere else. I am also working on an extension of what the website offers: a press article database. This idea has come to my mind quite some time ago, because so many people are eagerly collecting press articles, snippets and other stuff, and noone really knows the real deal about what was published about Jarre anywhere in the world.

Of course, this idea really needs to grow on me first and on you, too, because everyone will have to take part in the mission to become the world’s most comprehensive archive of Jarre-related press articles. I will dive into this with CHLU and a friend of his as soon as time allows it, maybe being able to present you first tiny steps quite soon. In the mean time, please don’t hate me for sort of discontinuing www.jarre.ch the way you know it as the decision was not easy to take.

============================

Now, of course, I need opinions....
