In-Doors World Arena Tour 2009/10

Electronic music pioneer Jean Michel Jarre has just announced a trio of UK dates for May 2009.

The French keyboard supremo has this year been touring his full recreation of debut album 'Oxygene' to celebrate it's 30th anniversary (well, 30th-ish - it was released in 1976/77). The anniversary tour included a date at London's Royal Albert Hall, as well as the Manchester Opera House, Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow in March of this year.

Next year's dates start on 22nd May at Wembley Arena, then onto Manchester's Evening Arena on 23rd and finishes (currently) on 24th May at the NIA in Birmingham.

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Wednesday (19th November) at 9AM.

Fairlight Magazine Website wrote:As far as we know, the concept for this project is the same that this current tour, so the new 2009 tour is intended to be “indoor”, but with more visual effects. Also it will be a sort of “best of” spanning all the hits of Jean Michel Jarre’s career, but all the arrangements of the songs, including the more simphonic tracks like Rendez Vous 2, will be done in an absolutely electronic way.

Please note that this new 2009 tour is nothing but a project. As you know, and according with experiences in the past, we have to be very cautious with all these projects, but we let you know any new informations about this project when we know something more.
THANKS TO THE SPACE OF FREEDOM FORUM AND THE FAIRLIGHT MAGAZINE FOR THE NEWS.

Great idea and good for the British fans, but I would rather have seen a more international perspective. On the other hand, a wider tour would delay possible album plans evenmore. I'll just let it go and see what happens as what regards this project and a new album. Only time will tell what's gonna happen
Thanks for the info :)
