No, that's not true. The TV version is also in colour, check out Nico's database. Great: the last 2 missing tracks Equinoxe 5 and Oxygene 4 are also in this database. I have found them in the section with the extracts ("Random Footage") - there the track "Equinoxe 5" contains also the last track Oxygene 4. Now the video is complete! :D :D
Really? I have a version on home taped VHS (I guess it's TV footage, it's got a presenter at the beginning) that is all in black and white.

Yes Gert, please dig deep in your mails! :) I'm very interested in a good quality copy of the TV version...
It was Christophe who told me he owned one of those. He's on the forum.. :smoke:

I can understaind somebody that does not want to share, but somebody that refuse to trade or sell...

Yack !
Why would someone who obtained a VHS from 1979 sel it to another fan?

The guy made copies 10 years ago wich he traded with several other fans who had something intereseting to offer, what more can you expect him to do, sell his VHS to you? Sell copies to anyone who wants them?

What he did was very clever, he knew he had something very interesting and made sure he got many other interesting stuff in return for a copy instead of just selling bootloads....

Direct copies of that VHS are no better then what's availlable now so just shut it will ya....

This brings up a question I've wanted to ask on here for a very long time.

This British guy used to copy a lot of JMJ concerts, rarities and videos up on to VHS then sell them through a newsletter. I think we signed up at the Jarre Expo 98. He was great, I've forgotten his name and where he lived (my mum probabliy knows so I'll ask her later) but he copied all the videos on to Panasonic white-cardboard-boxed VHS.

Nearer the end of his selling he also sold CDs, I have Music For Supermarkets, some JMJ remixes/covers, 12DOTS and probably others copied by him. I remember he also sold the CiC radio broadcast.

All of a sudden his newsletters just stopped. Anyone know what happened to this guy? Did anyone on here deal with him or is he here himself. If so thanks a lot!

Thanks,
JK.

I am not speaking of selling his master, but just to allow other fan to view a copy of this concert.
If the fan have something to offer in return, do a trade.
If the fan doesn't have "valuable" material, just sell him a copy.

But never say to a fan : "I will never let you enjoy this recording, I want to keep it for myself, *myself* !".
That's pretty infantile, unfair, and sounds like "children answer".

ACTUALY...

He didn't at all read my post because the guy did just that, trade copies for other exclusive material...

Problem is, not many PPL had something interesting to trade and this guy didn't want to sell stuff.

Can't blame him to be hounest, it's not fun collecting stuff you can "trade with an amount of money", where is the fun in that?

As for that guy Jarrekid is looking for, could it be Stephen Lee Toole from Liverpool?

Last thing I heard is that he got bored.

Who cares?

I don't

I got the best stuff by promissing NOT to share stuff or else, so i'll keep that promise I made. Once I made the mistake of making a copy for someone I didn't really know that well, guess what happened, i got blacklisted for years.... NEVER AGAIN!

What do you PPL NOT understand about that?

Ofcourse there's also lot's of stuff you can't share, backstage passes etc can only be owned, not shared (well, the chronologie condom can kinda be shared, but only (/allo allo accent ON) Wenze.

The only reason some PPL don't share is because they promissed they wouldn't share or sell or make a profit. The only exeption always is that the stuff can be swapped with something else. And if someone isn't offering something just as good in return, then even money won't do.

Why should all be free for everybody out there? What's the fun in collecting when everything is either for sale or free?

It isn't, the whole point of collecting is to have stuff no-one else has, and if you think I'm the only one, think again... There are many more like me...

That might be reasonable with official and rare (Oxygene 7-13 LP and what else) items, but keeping bootlegs to themselves is pretty arrogant. But there are certain aspects of human nature that can't be erased.

It's just the attitude of not-sharing that is erm. Rather unfriendly. ;)
And the reasons you provide dont' erm, make much sense. Still, go ahead, it's just an opinion ;)

So are you telling me that when you promise someone you won't make copies, you ignore that promise and make it availlable for others?

That says a lot about you my friend if that's what you are saying....

I have never dealt with people who told me not to trade it any further, and I hope I never will. Cause that's one weird attitude. It doesn't say any thing about me. Stop drawing conclusion that fast, for the sake of maturity..... ;)

I encoded the "videojarre" version many years ago. (My comuter was a Pentium 300 Mhz, so i conldn't do better).
Next week, i will do a better file from the same source, and upload it in Nico's database.
