And if I remember correctly, even Vangelis made a jab at him about that. :P

I'm not even sure if I remember correctly, but Vangelis was asked what the thought about Oxygene and he said something like it was too commercial and sounded like it was recorded in a kitchen or something.

I checked out the 3D DVD today and yeap...the same trouble here.
Looks like the distance between red and mint blue image are just too big
no matter of screen size, viewing distance, light conditions in the room or
how many pair of glasses you're using.

After having a check in a mirror that my eyes still were in the same position in my face
as they use to be I can say that the DVD totally blows me away on cloud no. 9
allready with the 2D version only.

Personally I jsut love the "concert" version of Oxygene (don't care if it's the 2D or 3D). The way the music has been recorded is fantastic and to see know that it's ALL live. There are some minor problems during the video recording. F.x. Rimbert standing in front of the huge one putting wires into it and then there is a clip, and then he's standing in front of a keyboard. But that's a minor thing for me. I like the music and that's the most important.

Will get the 2D version today (I hope)

I wonder if the North American version would have that issue with the 3D part, since it (theoretically) wouldn't have to be re-converted back to PAL from NTSC :?:

Jest a thawt...

Yes, the 3D edition doesn't have Oxygene new master recording DTS/5.1. So the 2D DVD has that advantage.
Ahhh...probably because the DTS took up so much space....crap, now I will have to get both versions... :P
Wouldn't you, anyway? ... and the Chinese version with a different catalogue number, and the Polish one with a special sticker? :P :punch:
I'm fanatical but not THAT fanatical. No, The 2D version will do... and maybe the stand-alone CD too... :P

It could be nice to hear even more new tracks, but I doubt it is other tracks than Prelude and Variation I-III.

Yes I noticed that aswell. I think they have played with the recordings as with the Jarre In China DVD, but it doesn't really bother me.

They used quite a few of the original recordings for this "new" mix :P
