Yes that would make true stereo phasing more viable. As in 2 Small Stones side by side.
Without faith nothing is possible. With it, nothing is impossible.

BTW, surely you could just use a potentiometer between the battery/DC supply to lower the voltage and therefore slow the phaser down? This would be a lot more convenient than having to find the plug and switch it back on to another voltage...

Or you could just use your AC/DC adapter's switch to adjust the voltage.

Yes I know, but this is what I'm getting at. If you're going to open up your Small Stone anyway, surely it must be worth putting that ONE potentiometer in so you don't have to keep bending down to the adaptor's switch and changing it every time you want a slower speed...?

At the times of Oxygene 7-13 the French magazine Keyboards published an article with pictures of the JMJ's studio and a particular on the EH pedals used:

the source for this pic is a jpeg, so zooming the image crumbles a bit, but you can still notice that two small stones (numbered 2-4) have something like voltage regulators at their top.

My question is: does anyone know what is the pedal number 1?
To me it looks like the oldest small stone (known as "neon lettering" version) with two knobs added at the bottom, since the original is this one:

Pete, I read somewhere that he used that one (number 1) on Oxygene

He could have used any one of those Phasers for the Original oxygene there all 70s editions, they only reissued the EH4800(4) and the Sovtek(3) in the 90s,both of which had cosmetic changes which distinguish them from Original models, the EH4800 reissue (NYC model has an additional Red LED,and the Sovtek is Red/Black),the Orange/Black Silver model(2) was never remade,so if you get one you'll know its an Early 70'80s model, personally I prefer the sound of the Sovtek Reissue, although I have both an Original EH4800 and a remake EH4800 and and also the Orange/Silver model, and a Sovtek Model, the Russian remake has a nicer grainer texture to it and I like the sound of the Eminent through that more than the other pedals

As for the Pedal in Question(1),it certainly looks like an EH model from the Sketchy Lettering detail, although they made several versions of the Smallstone, there are only really 3 main models, all of which are pictured, they did make a Badstone edition, but this is more like the EH Electric Mistress pedal layout with the 3 Knobs across the Top,but it maybe an original Edition, seeing as this one has 3 knobs in the Jarre pedal collection, and he has original Editions from the 70s,this may have been an original Badstone..

I have the magazine with that article in so will dig it out so can get a better look at the pedal in Question.you can't really make out the lettering on that pedal so it could be anything, although it does resemble an EH os sorts

...well it really seems an early small stone with two knobs added... (number 1)
I found on the net that the early bad stones had a bigger case (like the El.Mistress); also the early little muff had the small case, but I don't think it is a little muff.
If you look at the second pic I posted you can see the earliest small stone made, with the "neon lettering".
In the keyboards picture this pedal (1) has the two little knobs at the bottom in a non symmetrical position, which make me think of a modification...

Your right

I Found the "Keyboards" magazine, although the phaser isn't that much easier to make out in the Magazine and the Pic isn't much better resolution, you can see it is the one you pictured above as the "Neon Lettering" is more easier to make out(Silver with red livery) and the actual position of the 2 knobs at the bottom look more obvious they are not symetrical, the right hand knob is slightly lower so it obviously is a Home modified affair of the "Neon Lettering" model..
