Dunno if it's called like that, but I think that choir in Ethnicolor is from E-MU's Emulator ;)

by the way NI Nostalgia has a patch of emulator 2 choir, and it gets very close to original ethnicolor choir

Good!

To me it's one of the best examples of the usablity of such old samplers. I would buy an Emulator 1 or 2 or even a Fairlight if I had the chance too, they don't do realistic choirs, but they do sound rich and usefull! :D

maybe too much reverb but the sound is similar 8)
NI Nostalgia is really a good VST :P

Thank you JP8000. It's interesting, did you buy NI Nostalgia ? Do you have samples ?

Original sound contain several choirs, your sound is just one sound among other.

I used a Roland XV-5080 with internal sounds, one sound has too much 'noise' :

Not NI, but Zero-G :wink: But interface comes from NI :)
And that is a good plugin. Lots of sounds come from "hollowsun" website, which doesn't provide samples (they were in Akai S5000) anymore. But there are some more, for example from M1 or FS1R.

This choir (test.wav) might be cut off to about 1500Hz and the result may be better. Still sounds familiar.
Most of factory patches in Nostalgia come with reverb turned on. I don't know what for.
