My Korg Poly-61 working again

Afer many years i decided to fix my Poly-61. The keyboard was pretty bad, ( bought it that way) i wassn't able to play on the board because the keys didn't respond any more. and tapping more than once didn't do the trick. but i found this webtutorial ( thanks to synthforum.nl) I cleaned the board and it's working again like it's brandnew :fine:

Poly61 is one of my favorite synths. Has great dirty filter. It's good for lo-fi or sth.

i think i can get some nice trancesounds out of it, but i think this synth is more suitable for more traditional synth sounds Bass and strings. I loaded the original sounds into it now. It has been many years from now that i heard this synth. glad i fixed it. For me the Poly-61 is more like a collectors item then a synth i would use. ( has no midi)

u can buy Korg's midi for it, or Kenton's.... Or just buy Poly61M :D or... hmmm... use trigger for arpeggios :D

I misunderstood the Poly61 with the Polysix, sorry :?
But listening to the demo you gave, it's a nice synth, indeed !!
I like the sounds used for the sequences :P

Seems like I have underestimated this synth. I have also thought about it as a crappy digital sounding analogue synth. It is not that bad, but who got the stupid idea to make it difficult to program synths at that time. We want sliders and knobs :wink:
