Someone knows how to do a DIY vocoder? Some sites, some schemas, anyone at help me to do a really vocoder (robot voices, mostly)?
As well I want to do a DIY synthesizer. A small and simple synthesizer. The most simplest DIY synthesizer.
It's to a school work!!

It's easy(ish, if you know electronics) to build a synthesizer but I think it's a lot harder to build a vocoder as you need a set of filters at certain frequencies to make however many bands you want.

A vocoder isn't a set of filters afaik, but an oscillator of which you modulate the frequency with the frequency of your voice. But I'm not sure about the exact working.

Where I live don't have music stores who sell this kind of thing....
My idea is do a fully-DIY vocoder and synthesizer for school work, so, don't buy one, the thing is MADE one, do you understand?! :D :D

Yes, it isn't just a set of filters, that's only one part of it, but probably one of the hardest as you've got to tune each frequency to the desired band.

But that forum is completely written in French I thought... www.sdiyfr.free.fr . There are quite much projects there :) , but for most of 'em you need some experience.
