I think I just did. :burgl: :hypocrit:
I'm just testing it and my godness...what a beautiful warm and mighty deep bass Grado Gold produces...still there are cheaper versions -Grado Black and Grado Red if you have a more simple tone arm or just don't need the top of the line. They also have a very good reputation amongst the Hi-Fi press. Ortofon are never wrong and Linn is also highly recomended...much more expensive though.

When I was replacing the Audio-Technica pickup with the Grado I actually happen to pull off one of the tiny cables behind the cartridge so bad that it snaped apart in two. I had to do a serious work from hell by solder this cable...not much thicker than a piece of hair. You're learning something new every day....never do that again!! :smoke:

They don't sell this one here in the music shop. Does it have a warmer sound than the Tonar Banana, or an Ortofon Concorde? :)

I don't really know about these two...I think it's the usual, sad story -U get what u pay 4. :P But if you want a sound "as warm as it can get" you can also look at Sumiko Black Pearl, not 100% in timing but known as beautifully warm and with a spectacular bass.

Be aware of the Banana, it's a cheap model made by Ortofon for some dutch company. I even read that Ortofon didn't want to share their own name on it due to the quality :? Almost any Ortofon pickup has a great sound.
