Maybe Stef(Phasereffect) can fill us in on some info...I recall reading something about the clock system from him on the old Jarre.net forum

I can make separate outs, pitches and decays for some sounds... but MIDI? damn

I don't know too much about the technically part of midi, but wasn't there one hole for triggering?

One thing that accidentaly I just figured while repairing my polysix... cut the D1 from klm366 board. now when you choose saw waveform you can hear saw and pulse. the volume of the pulse can be set using pw/pwm knob so ya know... it can sound fatter

I found the timecode key here, and it seems pretty difficult to translate in a +15/-15V trigger.
It works with 8 two-bits messages, containing next values:
0 Current Frames Low Nibble
1 Current Frames High Nibble
2 Current Seconds Low Nibble
3 Current Seconds High Nibble
4 Current Minutes Low Nibble
5 Current Minutes High Nibble
6 Current Hours Low Nibble
7 Current Hours High Nibble and SMPTE Type

Yup, the clock system is done with two simple transistors, located left handed on the lower board when showed from the front (don´t ask me about any labels, afair there was also the potentiometer for speed fine-tuning). I remember that i´ve cut simply a pin of one of them and used a +3V Signal to trigger the transistor itself. In fact it used afair 12 ppq.

If any interest is given into a midi controller for the Mp7, i´ll program it. But that also means that you have to buy some components (approx. €20) and program the devices by yourself, since i don´t have anymore a Mp7. And it will not provide any midi out or Thru, only midi in. The controller will translate the incoming midi notes into trigger signals.

If you want to trigger each sound by them self through midi
then this might help you do this:

You would need to locate each sounds trigger pulse on the PCB
and solder a diode in series with the 5Volt TTL signal from the
mtc board. I am curently working on something similar for a
EH DRM-16.

Jup, but that thing has a price of €99. I´ll try to make it as cheap as possible. In fact it musn´t be the high-end-solution for those fewMp7 which had to be midified. On the other hand i would also need it to trigger my CR78. I have a programmer board which can be obtained on a german electronics store for €14.99 excluding the microcontroller, a 5-9V PSU (could be also obtained from the Mp7 itself) and a serial cable. Add those things together and you will be at <>20-25 Euro. The remaining (my) part is the programming itself.

One question: Someone should give me the name of the Trigger-Inputs (Radek?) and the overall amount of them.
