RARE Zoolook CD

Exactly!

Vlerkje yours is the replacement one in 1985 but now you need to find it's twin the 1984 version with no remixes so strat hunting :wink: (I've seen two so far on ebay.de (Germany).

Nah, I'm not that much of a collector. I just have al released albums and when a new one comes out (Jarre or another artist / group) I usually go for the most luxious one..... :lol:

However I don't know if the remixes from the 1985 release of Zoolook differ much from the original ones so in that perspective I might one day hunt for the 1984 release.... 8)

I think there also was a version out that did not have the remixes indicated on the sleeve and on the CD, but actually featured them. I think I briefly had that version, but had to return it, because one track - Ethnicolor I - was unplayable at a certain position.

Personally, I prefer the unremixed version. Why he did not include them all on one CD, Jarre only knows.

Damn... then my Zoolook CD ain't first edition as it contains the remix versions. I just thought the remix'es was on the CD and the usual ones on the vinyl.

Koch's are not easy to find here. But it's not strange you can find them more easily around your place, as Koch was the distributor for North America...

@Android: no- just one DCO as far as I know. I think I have that one too, but I don't bother to have a look right now...

Hi to everybody!

First of all i´m sorry for my poor English.

Thank you (GeeJee) that I can be a member.

Since 1988 I am a big fan of Jarre´s music. I listened album Revolution - and it was AMAZING! Later I have heard all official albums + rarities and excl. Interior music and Teo&Tea I have originals in my archive.

I have found some different versions of Jarre´s albums. I tried to find something about it in this forum...but nothing.

Please can somebody informs me what are (according to Jarre himself) original albums?

1. Zoolook - different between 1984 and 1985 edition. Why Jarre changed tracklisting and not remix versions only? Did Jarre some explanation? And if 1985 is "correct" album, why Sony remastered 1984 tracklisting in 1997 too?
I have 10th Anniversary edition made by Polydor and there is 1985 edition. I bought 1984 version too - and Catalogue No. is the same.

2. Revolution - I have Polydor edition from 1988. There is Industrial Revolution as one track (indexed only) flute version of Revolution. Later he made Revolution as orchestral version. Does somebody know why?
...and in my album version is word "Revolution as staring point of track The Emigrant, but in other releases it is in the end of track September.
What is "correct" and what is pis-pressing?

There are not mis-presisngs or correct issues. It's just two different versions of the same album... ;)
