Well, here in The Netherlands we are "lucky" if we have an average of 3 snowy days a year........ last white Christmas was in 1981 according to the official weather reports.

That's not true! I have seen a real white christmas (nah, that means there was a little amount of snow), and I was born after '81!

It al depends on the definition of "witte kerst" Jarp...... :)

An the official definition can be found here

Sorry, Dutch only... In short it means that in The Netherlands it is only called a white Christmas officially when everything in De Bilt (home of KNMI = Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut) is covered under snow during 1st and 2nd Christmasday.
