Nico, I applaud you and the work that you did to make these recordings availalble, and at the time the concert was being aired. You could have easily just let someone else do it, but you didn't. . . That's dedication.Nico_Noyau wrote:But if you are not happy, no need to download them, I just took one entire weekend to make these files avaible very fast (I mean, I slept around 10 hours for 2 days, I'm tired now).Synthesist wrote:Relax dude. I downloaded them because I didn't want to bother transfering the 5.1 HD footage to stereo-audio files.
I wonder why the fool who made the MP3's made them in 320kb stereo when the original source he used was 64kb mono, you can't make good copies of a bad original, calling them HQ is a laugh....
Sure, it's a good plan to make them availlable for those who don't know how to point a sattelite dish in the right direction etc... (or thos who don't have a dish at all), don't get me wrong about that.
But why waste a lot of bandwith on huge files when there is no need is beyond me.
They are not in 320kbps but in 192kbps and they were broadcasted in 128kbps stereo
That's because these files are in mono (at least the HQ ones I could download)... they're technically stereo but with the left and right channel being identical (expect for some compression artefacts) = no stereo image. (BTW: It's not the first time a Jarre concert got broadcast effectively in mono. Just remember the CCTV broadcast of Jarre or Acropolis. TVP did way better.Velodynamic wrote:The stereo image is not very wide, ...
I agree! It's awesome!Synthesist wrote:So do I, I have never really been tired listening to it.Robbie wrote:i don't know why many of you cmplaints about flute intro of Oxy 2 , but i simply like it!!
