Hmm I can't comment on the name, I only remember what it was calledi n my own language, but this was some kind of splitted over several episodes like it was no movie.
"Da Ali-g Show" was the original format,before that he had a comic sketch slot on the 11 o clock show which sort of brought him into the forefront just before he was given his own show,he was renowned for his genius interview technique which basically took the "Piss" out of the interviewees,most of which thought his character was a genuine person,the Character is based on a Spoof attitude towards Youth culture in the UK tied in with gangland america rituals,its basically taking the Mick out of the way some teenagers are growing up in todays society..
Borat was a secondary character whom he created for the Da Ali G show,he then took the series to the USA,(Ali G in da USA)but they just didn't get it,as you've probably seen.I think its bloody hilarious as because the way sacha Baron cohen portrays himself in the characters is sheer Genius,he has to think on his feet most of the time which makes brilliant material,and the way that most of the people he interviews think he is for real!!!(and i don't mean that in Ali G terms "For real").
Another Character he created for the USA version was a Gay TV fashion reporter from Austria Called "Bruno" some of the material he did with that character was the best interviews he did,especially one sketch he did where he interviewed some surfy wrestling dudes,he got them to act all manly and getting them to jump off there Camper vehicle lulling them into a false sense of security making out they were all butch and hard,then at the end of the interview got them to say a Message to the Gay community of Austria and they all looked disgusted,and about ready to Kill him for being Gay....it was brilliant,he also did a similar one with some Anti Gay christian groups...How he's never been Linched or set upon whilst filming i never know,But it absolutly hilarious..
The movie was just a spinoff of the TV series made into a feature length film.Which is just as funny..
I actually think he Pulls off the Character Borat even better than Ali-G although i find some of the material he does as Borat Quite cringeworthy,it makes hilarious viewing..
She have some skills... I think, but it's a lame beat, lame sound and a lame stand for the keytar. The funny is, I think she takes it serious. She was known before the Borat movie.
