Does anybody know what synth it comes from? The bass is basically playing in the breakdowns.

I have wondered about this for a long time now, since Papendieck was responsible for most of the basses but I find the bass similar to the bass used in Francis Rimberts track 'So Funky Break'. On that album Rimbert used a Jupiter-8 which he did also use during the Moscow concert.

From what I can see Papendieck had a Gem Equinox/Roland JP8K and some Moog Bass Pedals,whether he was responsible for the bass part in MF1 or not who knows would have thought so seeing as he was playing Bass...

Did Rimbert have a Juppee 8 then in his equipment I though he had mostly JV Rolands??

Yes it is there, I currently don't have a screen, but I will look after one. If Rimberts JV-90 and JP8000 are his frontsynths, it is to his right under an Alesis QS-8.

Yeah, Equin(00)xe is right, it is Christopher playing the bass here, but I can't see the synth, but the sound is very JP8k-ish

I can't see what Francis is playing, but he is used to play sequences so, I duno...

Francis is actually playing the Jupiter in this track.

But I think you are right that Papendieck is playing this one. Now I could see him push the notes in the background while the camera was zooming on JMJ. Papendieck was using the Equinox for this.
