I have a lot of archive material from the TV station that closed down. Using Google Video and YouTube I have been able to share this material with people from my town. My local paper are doing a series of articles about archiving the past in Swindon, as Swindon Cable was a pioneer in Local Community Broadcasting and the first company in Europe to do what they did back in the 70's, 80's and 90's - I felt that some of my material was important to share with people in my area. NTL closed the station down in 2000 when they took over ( )

The local paper found the video's online and decided to feature what I was doing as part of the Looking Back Project they are working on. Incidentlly I am putting a site together for all this material to 'centralise' it all and to make it easier to find.

If you want to take a look at a bit of the history this is the first intro video I put online: http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news ... ack/part1/

Nah. Been in there before when we released our CD.

The worst interview I did was on TV in 1987 after Michael Ryan shot 16 people in the Hungerford Massacre, I come from Hungerford and was there that day... got interviewed for ITN news, I never saw the piece but quite a few did. I didn't know what to say at the time and was a bit shy. Plus the shock of what had been going on - it was all surreal.
