Looking for a certain Chronology 4 version

bootleg red vinyl 45 of swatch
The only red bootleg 7" Single I have ever heard of had "une alarme qui swinge" on side A (45rpm) and "eldorado" on the flipside (33rpm)

certainly not chrono4 on that one........
The 12" promo single of Chronologie 4 (1 FDM 05 93) is a bit longer than the standard single release - 4'39 compared to 3'55. Perhaps this is the mystery track.
Don't think it is since someone allready uploaded that in this post and got a "negative" response to that (negative as in "no, it's not that one")

Having said that, the only "early version of chrono4" I know of is "Une alarme qui swinge"

try this then, will be deleted after 24 hours for copyright thingy so be quick ;-)

Isnt he talking about Synthesizer Greatest vol. 9 by Ed Starink? That was released a few months before Chronologie was released. I believe the record label was sued for that.

Actually a pre-version... as it's from 1992 :)

Well, almost. It's starts with a demo-ish version of crono5 suite and then switches to a demo-ish version of the chrono 4 chorus with Rondat on guitar (his first released work with JMJ BTW)

What are you confused about exactly? Une alarme qui swinge is from 1992, it predates chronologie by 8 months or so.

There was a version of chrono 4 on one of the synthesizer greatest rip-offs, but like most of those versions it's total crap. (as usual with Ed Starink ofcourse)

If I'm not mistaken, this is the Atomium Mix by Praga Khan
You are mistaken mate ;-)

You're close though.. It was a special remix for swatch mixed by praga khan, it was however similar (but not the same) compared to the Dream Time Mix (not atomium)

That info is hear say though, I never opened that Swatch Cone so I have never even heard my own copy of it....
Thanks,I've now heard this version & I stand corrected,it is like an edited version of the dream time mix minus the vocals near the end.

That was not "Synthesizer Greatest", but "Synthétiseur - Les Plus Grands Thèmes" and Arcade wasn't sued for that - for which reason? In fact Dreyfus Musique asked to wait with the release (and Arcade did wait!) therewith Ed Starink could also do a cover version of Chronologie 4 (which is indeed not good) for that release. Btw this cover version is based on a pre-version of Chronologie 4 (provided by Dreyfus) and not on the album or single version.
