Thought I would start one, so here's mine, and just out of the box for the first time and being tested. Bought a few months ago for me as a birthday present from my wife.

What a fantastic piece of kit too!.

The only down side are the keys. Nope, nothing to do with size, but the feel. I find them to be a little flimsey, clunky and noisey, so a bit more money and effort could have been put into the feel of them.

I had one on loan a while ago,it is a very capable synth,and loved the Vocoder,the only thing i hated was the Minikeys....so i bought the MS2K instead

If they made a full size key version of the MK i would gladly add one to my gear...looks like a toy synth(but dont underestimate it though)


(Oh and dont forget the JMJ GOL patch "Wispy Lead)

It certainly is a powerful synth, and yes, I found the GOL patch (A15 - Weepy Lead).

Alos, try A62 (Water Edge), great Oxygene 4/6 wind patch :D

I think he used other programs from the MK on the GOL album. I have not used the write function on my MK yet, I just can't force myself to overwrite the programs, anyway I have programmes some very nice analogish stuff on it. It's especially good for basses IMO.
Like Equinoxe5, I have nothing against the keysize, just the spring mechanism is weird, however that may be due to the size of the keys. I never really thought it looked toyish. The colours, the knobs and the angulat design just can't look toyish.
The low polyphony which it has been criticized alot on doesn't really bother me, I use it more like a monophonic synth as I don't the it's power lies in pads and such stuff.

I will buy one too, one day. I don't mind the keys, actually quite like them from what I've tried in the shops.

The keys are actually very very very good for fast shred-type solos. They're so light and small you can do huge ranges without missing the hit.

Yeah, that's what I found too... nothing really negative about it. For me at least. Maybe complex chords would be a little tricky, but then again the polyphony is very limited so you wouldn't even try that...
