Can you read music notes?

No, that's true, but when I have a difficult piece on sheet music, I can't play it if I didn't hear it!

I can't read notes. When I play an album, I listen to it a good handful of times, then play it on the drums.

Basicly, I just remember the notes or write the keynotes down, that was what I meant as non-advanced because other people wouldn't know how it has to be played, but I don't write it for other people anyway.

Strangely enough,
I found sequencing & MIDI notation & timing to improve my musical reading & writing ability (western format) : which I studied about 19 years ago.

I don't work very much with sequence software, but maybe it will help me. Who knows!

I can read them, but I can't play directly from the sheet as well as by heart.

I used to play the french horn for 10 years. I was concidered to be a talent but I thought it was a boring instrument...

At least you can play the live versions of Ethnicolor and Light My Sky then...

I must say I really like the sound of the instrument, although I have no clue how to play it
