Repairing second Roland took me about 30 hours. When I bought it, it looked like s*** or even worst... Now I can say that it's in very good condition (i've repaired velocity and aftertouch, changed and fixed electronics, painted it etc).

Those Roland Keybeds are so damn unredictable,they either work with full velocity on all the time or they don't trigger at all,when i repaired the D-50 I bought it was a pain in the ass to get the velocity/Note on/off right,if you clean the contacts too much they don't recognise Velocity sensing and just register full velocity on note on,if its not clean enough it doesn't trigger at all,took me a few attempts to get the contacts right,best thing is too clean them so there pristine with Isopropyl alcohol and then slighly dull them again by rubbing paper over the contacts,works a treat...
but from what a guy at roland Tech support told me its a common problem with the keys that the D50 suffered from..
