Come on, release Metamorphoses, Geometry of Love and others on vinyl already instead of churning out the same (absolute gutter trash) '''''remaster'''''' again :(

I agree, after all Oxygene must be one of the easily (and possible cheapest) available vinyl on the second hand market and I don't think Equinoxe is that hard to get a hold of either.

Even if these are a German exclusive and most likely done by the record company on their own, it always perturbs me that JMJ's "I don't want to stay in the past" stance still always means "so here are the same old albums re-released for the nth time" :P

Man, you can't seriously believe that it was actually Jean-Michel Jarre who wanted to release this.

He even sold the rights of his entire catalogue to BMG in 2022.

BMG is delighted to announce it has acquired the entire music publishing back catalogue of French electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre. The deal brings rights in groundbreaking classics such as “Oxygene” and “Equinoxe” together with Jarre’s writer’s income stream. The company previously acquired the sound recordings of Jarre’s first three albums when it bought noted independent record label Francis Dreyfus Music in 2012. The acquisition is the biggest single deal ever struck by BMG in France. - News | BMG | Paris, 07/21/2022

Seeing how BMG re-releases Christophe's Les Mots Bleus album with loads and loads of extras becase of its 50th anniversary, I'm very curious to see what BMG will do in 2026/2027 with Oxygene...

Curiously, these re-releases seem to be available at a local record store in Finland for example, but not on Amazon.de yet (maybe I checked the links a bit too early, but eh :P)

Not sure what's the deal with these releases, though, because on the Finnish site the old ones are gone and they've been reposted as being released on Dec 13th now... and the Oxygene one on Amazon.de doesn't seem to be linked to a new/upcoming release any longer.
