Jean-Michel Jarre and Zaho de Sagazan will honor Christophe's memory at the Francofolies

“Les Francofolies is the French song, and as I have a particular link with [this register] by having written a lot of [titles] myself, we thought it would be a good thing, to celebrate the 14-July and the 40th anniversary of the Francos, to have a special evening, with a very special concert," he revealed. Intrigued, the host asked her guest if he could say more about the famous surprise that will be offered to festival-goers for this beautiful occasion. "There is a collaboration that we are working on with Zaho de Sagazan, for a song I wrote for Christophe, which is called Les Mots bleus," he detailed. I'm working on a [new] electro version, a little special."

I think (IMO) that Jarre should honor not only Christophe, but also Juvet and Hardy, who left recently...

JEAN-MICHEL JARRE AT THE FRANCOFOLIES: "CREATING IS NOT A QUESTION OF AGE"

Jean-Michel Jarre will play this Sunday, July 14 in La Rochelle, with Zaho de Sagazan.

The pioneer of electro music will close the 40th edition of the Francofolies on July 14. A first for the planetary artist who has never played in La Rochelle.
Jean-Michel Jarre has sold more than 85 million albums around the world. At 75, the songwriter still competes with Rod Stewart for the record for the greatest concert of all time with his performance made in 1997 in Moscow - more than 3.5 million spectators. The asteroid (4422) Jarre was even named in his honor.
Jean-Michel Jarre, one of the most influential artists of our century as well as the previous one, has never played at the Francofolies of La Rochelle. "I never had the opportunity," he confirms with a smile.

Would anyone who records the live stream of the concert be kind enough to share it? (file share, WeTransfer, etc.)? Thanks!

Jean-Michel Jarre at the Francofolies de La Rochelle in free streaming on France 2
Tomorrow at 10:48 pm
For his first participation in the Francofolies de La Rochelle, Jean-Michel Jarre is invited to close the fortieth edition of this mythical festival on National Day. This concert by the electronic music giant, on the Jean-Louis Foulquier stage, allows the Lyonnais to once again give the measure of his talent after a free concert-event given in May in Bratislava, with Brian May in front of 120,000 people. With the release of his twenty-second album, "Oxymore", in 2022, he proved all his vitality and creativity by paying tribute to the musician Pierre Henry, precursor of concrete music and composer in particular of the famous hit "Psyché Rock".

After Phoenix and the fireworks, I guess around 23:00. It also ends very late, 0:50.

Also, bear in mind, if you have a seat or if you have a fast lane standing ticket ("DEBOUT COUPE-FILE"), then you won't have any trouble getting in. There's a huge queue at the start of the day which can take hours. Fast lane tickets and seats can walk right through.

I just walked past the entrance and there were not many people there at the moment, but I'm not sure if there's still someone performing now.

I have a seating ticket indeed.I'll aim to be there at 8 o'clock or so. I was under the impression that the fireworks close the concert but I have to say I find communication Soso on the actual program. And all in French :)

Seating tickets are good, you can walk past the huge line then. That entrance is a block from where I'm staying right now, perfect for me :-D

Yeah, I would have incorporated the fireworks with the concert, but apparently they are separate events. Probably because of the time.

Small weather update: it's raining at the moment :-D I just see it's only this morning, the rest of the day will be sunny with a 22° C peak. 18° at night so it's probably not necessary to bring a blanket (or rain poncho) to the concert
