I saw the Starmus Festival marquees and tents in the main town square in Bratislava but I didn't get to look around. Was there anything there linked to the JMJ concert? Such as flyers, programmes, leaflets?

I saw the Starmus Festival marquees and tents in the main town square in Bratislava but I didn't get to look around. Was there anything there linked to the JMJ concert? Such as flyers, programmes, leaflets?

Nope, nothing. There was no merch for the concert. They only sold Starmus VII shirts shirts there (15 euro, quite cheap) and on the festival itself there was more Starmus merch including the DVDs I mentioned.

I love how honoured priviledged Claude feels to have performed in so many amazing concerts locations.
Claude is grateful Claude realised he would never get these lifetime experiences unless through JMJ.
This is major reason JMJ has Claude with him.

Also a major reason JMJ doesn’t have previous musicians that are still on earth.

If I was in Claude's shoes I would feel same as Claude.

I hope they don't mess around with it too much, as the live broadcast was nearly faultless (just a couple of split-second blackouts if I recall). Maybe a bit of pre-concert build-up could be added though.

But given the whole concert was a perfectly executed technological showcase, it would be really nice if the unintentional things that make us smile for being human are not edited out ... i.e. JMJ getting a little tongue-tied when speaking about the orchestra and, of course, his reaction to "Jean-Paul Jarre"!

I agree and thought the direction by Peter Nunez was fantastic. I know he missed a few moments, like the first firework explosions during The Opening and the cascade of flames that marked the transtion in Rendezvous 4 between the black and white early flight footage and the space race ... which was fabulous, all that grainy monochrome replaced by firey red as the song went to the chorus, but those moments aside, what a show! He was working with drones, fixed cameras, moving cameras, stage shots, close ups and distance. It was such a good edit and all done "in the moment" not after the event. It seems Jean-Paul Jarre has already been taken out - boo! - but I hope the rest is left as was.

One lovely, funny moment is the final didgeridoo blast from Adiescar Chase on Azimuth, which falls a bit short and rather flat. She was aiming for a long note I think but it didn't happen. She looks over at JMJ, a bit embarrassed, and then gets the giggles as she puts the didgeridoo away

I really hope they keep that bit!

Am I the only one who thinks the direction was awful?
Not trying to be rude or anything, but a lot of bad angles, so many mistakes in live airing, but of course this is the only part that maybe can't be blamed on the director.

I really don't think the director was on the level of this huge one of a kind event. He missed some of the most amazing fireworks in multiple instances and a lot of cool stage moments...I have seen a lot of amateur videos from youtube which showed the concert in better manner. For example in the most ecstatic moment where fireworks made "the sky burn" the director is focusing on far away crowd which is static, I mean even amateur wouldn't do that...or choose the bad angles in so many instances.

Also in some scenes we can see huge pixels from some cameras, that's also not on the level of quality for such event and it looks unprofessional...

I mean we can all agree that each of us have the right to express opinion, but the direction I saw isn't a representation of the concert which was out of this world...

I am sure JMJ edit is gonna be miles better and we will get a lot of missed moments.
