As promised let's start a topic about Distorted Reality 1 and 2 ! The idea is to create kind of a "database" of all samples identified in various Jarre's tracks. I will try to create a table once we have sounds identified. Please try to give the more detail you can for each one to find the sample easily, for example the name of the partition, the bank name and of course the sample name.

If we have many other samples identified from other samples collections maybe we can add a specific table for other samples.

I will edit the table as long as we have new samples identified.

I didnt know the Finitribe 101 ! For me it is a sample of the song. FX sounds are the same, same order and same rythm and this is the perfect moment in the song to sample this sequence.

I've started a Distorted Reality/Spectrasonics list as well as a few other sample libraries used. I'll post it when I've done a bit more.

One preset starting point might be the Emu XL-7 - where many of the presets were used as complete tracks or formed key sequences in other tracks. Anything form the Aero era has the XL-7 all over it.

Wooow nice vidéo of the xl7 ! Someone was looking for drums of this era maybe the xl7 is the answer ! I Will update the table tomorrow i have also more to add for métamorphoses titles but also for other songs like Oxygene 17....

Can't remember the names of the sounds but the Roland Vintage Synth module/JV80-04 expansion was used A LOT in Oxygene 7 and Je Me Souviens.

Also, on the XL-7, Francis Rimbert used some of the presets in his own music, as he did with the Roland Vintage Synth module/expansion.

A little bit off topic but when considering the origins of tracks and the sounds used, it's worth listening to FR's Double Face album.

'The Wave' is a variation of the Body Kick preset which JMJ used - see video above.
'Elfe's Race' uses the Mellotron samples from the Roland Vintage Synth that are the O7 sounds.
'Devil Soul' is a mashup of C'est La Vie and Velvet Road and uses the XL-7.
'Across the Fog' is also from the same stock of 'Velvet Road.'
'Woman's Land' is germinated from the same point as 'May 1.'

One more drum loop for Oxygene 17 is available in Stylus RMX in the "Core Library", "RMX Grooves", "72-Liquid Frame". Especially the "72-Liquid Frame Combo". Claps and snare are also from Stylus but I didn't find the loop.
