you need to be careful with those. some sell univox which is diffrent sounding machine.

how much? hmmmmm... often sth close to ~400E

like radek say, to be carefull. Alwas ask for the picture of the signaletic on the bottom
minipops 7 or univox SR 95 is mentionned.

I have the both and effectively they sound differently.
In the univox SR-95, electronic sound circuit for rimshot don't exist but the sequencer send all the same the signal. And result is a sound not desired. I think just unsoldering this and it's ok. I again have to look in detail to confirm.

@matt222 are you interesteed by a MP7 ?

Sorry for late reply - only just got round to resetting my password!

If the outputs are there, but the circuit isn't - would it be possible to retrofit the circuit to an SR-95?

correction for univox SR-95

- rimshot electronic sound circuit are missing
- impulsion to this sound are routed to another : cowbel
- some composants are missing for the sequencer, like cymbal 2


After long analyse with both opened drumbox (SR-95 & MP7), I have transform a univox 95 to a MP7. Now I can't listenning audio differences, both give the same song and sequence.

Yep, finally the confirmation of a couple of things that, while working on Oxygene and Equinoxe sounds, I was sure about: independent outputs for MiniPops sounds
AND the use of Eminent chorus also on other synths of the album.
One suspected is the ARP2600 bass in Equinoxe 7 for example...
Infact I got closer to the sound of the original album adding a particular chorus.

Two wonders indeed: wasn't Eminent 310 chorus called Orbitone instead?!?
How much does Eminent 310 chorus differ in sound from ARP Solina Chorus/Ensemble?
I read around that Eminent's is a 2 stages chorus, while Solina's is a 3 stage one.

The user frendly name of Eminent's chorus is "Orbitone", but the technical name is "BDD" for Bucket-Brigade Device

"The lush Sound of the Solina (TM) Ensemble is created by 3 BBD delay lines that are modulated in a unique way:
There are two 3-phase modulation generators, one running at slow speed ("Chorus"), and one running at high speed ("Vibrato")."

is "2/3 stages" matter referring to the Delay lines or to the Phase modulations (each one every 120 degrees in the Solina case)?

My electronic memories are far away.... but in my memories it refers to the Phase modulations.

Some specialist here could certainly confirm.
