The last concrete (concréte?) announcement mentioned 2 albums. I suspect this announcement refers to the release that will be more prominent: "hip" collaborators, CD release, tour etc. The other, more Jarre-esque propsed release will be as mentioned earlier - download only - possibly a bonus on iTunes or equivalent with the main release.
Or not see a release at all :)

I kind of agree with Pat with regards to this very article.
I think this refers to the collaboration album
...If so, how does he consider touring the album : with or without the collaborators?

I think also that the more Jarre-ish albums would came after this above release.

I have been reminded from one my JMJ French friends/fans that he did speak about this to us last year at Nuits Sonores...

Similar article - Not confirmed and not official - Jean-Michel Jarre promises a new album / Later this year will release a new material that will be accompanied by a tour

With "Oxygène", Jean-Michel Jarre pulled himself over 35 years ago to the altars of the then nonexistent Olympus electronic music. And in late 2013, this pioneer and teacher announces return with a new album, surrounded by some of the members of that pantheon that he helped build.
It will "probably in September or October" and will come with a new tour that could go to Spain, as revealed during an interview on its way through the latest edition of Marché International du Disque et de l'Edition Music (MIDEM) in Cannes (France).
"There are many electronic artists who tell me I'm one of their influences, but I say that it works both ways," said French, citing references consolidated as The Chemical Brothers and Moby - "a great friend of mine" - in addition to the French Justice, Air and Sebastien Tellier.
"In Spain, also know young DJ very interesting, as John Tallabot" added the musician, who was appointed last November honorary member of the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).
At Midem 2013, closed on Tuesday, this visionary who recorded at home "Oxygène", the album that led to "the revolution of the 70s synthesizers", spoke about the bridges between French music and increasingly Powerful music scene in Taiwan.
And in China shines status as before, when other discs forge mythic as "Equinoxe" (1978) or "Magnetic Fields" (1981).
He blames the knowledge that exists in China classical music and the relationship between it and the electronics.
"There is a style like rock or hip hop, but a way of making music, like classical.'s Based on European heritage and so has that universal character so well understood in China," he explains.
In his speech, the electronics and connections becoming even as high and far-reaching as the themes that inspire and that led him to play in the Egyptian desert near Giza, and try at the Pyramids of Teotihuacan in Mexico (the set was lost in one shipwreck in the Atlantic Ocean a few weeks before the event).
No shares how to act in some DJ that just touch a button for their actions. "If you get on a stage, is to give something different to what is offered on the disc, in the recording," he argues.
And is that another major contributions to the scheme Jarre international music was monumental vision of the performing arts. He explains that when he started did not seem "very sexy" spending two hours on stage in front of a computer, so I thought how could transfer his spirit to live music.
"He was obsessed with opera as an art form. Why those composers as Verdi , Rossini and Wagner , with his magnificent music, wanted to work with carpenters, lighting technicians, painters and set designers? To give more on stage, "he replies.
Designed so overwhelming staging professional with over the years, jumped to the scene to work with rock bands like The Rolling Stones and U2 , champions of "stadium rock".
"I am very happy to have contaminated the music in this sense," he says.
He who came to gather two million people in 1990 in the district of La Défense in Paris, is not afraid to accuse you of "pompous" or "reloaded".
"I like the poetic essence of the circus concept: act one night, to appropriate the place and disappear the next morning. To me that is the ultimate performance," he says.

I don't know how about you, I have that blanch suspecious guess he is now trying again going out of Europe touring the next album ; even Mexican portals report the latest state of the album plans - it is not impossible though seldom that e.g. Mexican site mentions JMJ.
Or, Argentinan site http://entretenimiento.terra.com.ar/mus ... aRCRD.html
Nevermind. Just my 2 cents-thought.

It is great news only if it will happen...

Not having a good response from some parts of the JMJ community. They do not take it seriously.

It might be taken more seriously if there were some semblance of official confirmation. Third party hearsay is no way to disseminate news - either by accident or design.

I meant even if he said it by third party, some fans think we will wait forever for a new studio album...

Interestingly, only Spanish language articles released till now about the next album...
Not only one South-American portal put on an article...

Or am I so that naive?
