Two images I recall from the Euronews stream of the concert:
Prince Albert's face going: ...and his mouth forming a "wooow" during the fireworks with Fourth Rendez-Vous.
Charlene seemed "ok" but not so impressed until the track 'Vintage' when she started to move a little with the music.

two weeks ago I saw The Wall

This is an incredible show, just looked stunning, difficult to convey just how fantastic looks. Every little bit of the set tells a story and is there for a purpose.

I've always been impressed with Jarre's shows but after seeing Pink Floyd and Roger Waters' shows Jarre's looks quite uninspired by comparison. Often when seeing a big JMJ show for me the visuals haven't been all that, it's only when I watch it again on TV that I see everything that was going on whereas with the Floyd shows, everybody sees everything.

In all fairness, Jarre's inspiration for these laser light shows, starting with La Concorde in 79 originated from such British acts as Pink Floyd and Yes. He was never really what you would call original. He just took it to another level.

A crowd - 85,000 people according to police - came Friday night in the port of Monaco to see the concert sound and lighting by Jean-Michel Jarre held on the occasion of the wedding of Prince Albert with the South African Charlene Wittstock.

Hi !

I just came back from this long we in Monaco ! Our hostel onto the port, but with bad view on the scene. So we decided to stand just over the swiming pool.

I really enjined all the show, It was my first big big show after EIC Lausanne. Even with some problems, the music was live (Think if all old big were different it is just because it was as live as in Monaco)

So my photo and 2-3 video will follow soon.

Happy to meet Kanta so quickly, really miss some of you maybe a next time. (Oh and Oliver too !:-) )

We just reallized that beetween us and the Princess and Albert, was only a swimming pool and two cameraman ^^ (Charlem, a swimming pool ?? )

I'm not good at writing reviews of concerts, just want to say that, where I was standing Friday night, there was no wind to speak of, unless the guy behind me breathing down my neck was the one who kept blowing the dry ice stuff away.

Opinions people?

Who thinks that we WILL get an official DVD release of this show?

If your answer is yes, what do you think we will get, the concert in it's entirety or an edit?

If an edit, what edits do you suspect will be made?

I mentioned this to a couple of people on twitter. It will be a really big edit for the laser harp. I think for the fact that the planned dvd got binned he was planning to release this instead. Dont know now it's a bit of a pickle.

I cant help but think we will bet a release like the Gdansk one. I think we will get a truncated appearance of the royal couple, I think he will ditch a couple of tracks, But I don't think he'll drop RV2 because aside from the laser harp part it was awesome. I suspect we will get an audio edit for the harp and different shots of the stage during the gremlins. Although if he put it as was broadcast I would applaud him.

Another question.... If we see a DVD of the show, will the 'Mansfield does Docklands' style vision mixing be retained or removed?

I despised the Mansfield Docklands Release, But to be honest i quite liked it the other night i would say release like that. I thin RV2 will be edited for official release. Vintage was fantastic cannot believe he has not used this before.

I downloaded the radio broadcast from The Database, which very low volume.
So I amplified it to 0db and removed the first few minutes so it now starts at 0 in the countdown.
Right now it being uploaded to the Database with the filename extension -amplified.

I despised the Mansfield Docklands Release.

Words cannot begin to describe the abomination he made of that film.

Watched the Lyon film again recently, still probably my favourite concert film even if it does have the same crowd shot on loop!
