Hello to all the expert electronic musicians on this forum.
I thought, with it being 25 years since rendezvous was released, i would have a go at covering it.
Months later, i have been able to put a "competent" version together.
Here is the result:

Hello to all the expert electronic musicians on this forum.
I am desperately trying to finish my cover, but i need advice on the following sounds:

The rising pitch "whoosh" effect.
This sound, for me is absolutely crucial to get right.
I know it is made up of white noise, which i can do, but the other sound effect is, i am told a saw-wave string type of sound- this sound is what i need advice on thankyou.

Here is my 98% complete version which i have spent so long in trying to perfect:

Belive me, I spent hours and hours making that raising sound, and almost gave up.
I ended up putting this behind the white noise:
Raise
And pithing the C F Bb C chord (why dont you hold this?)

About your version, I think there are too much reverb on main brass sound and it's way too loud

There are many things, but the strings at the end of vers is wrong, look at my video at 2:05 how it is played.

To be honest, you are far more of a perfectionist than i am,and i have learnt more about this track from you, than i have from jarre himself!
I could correct the strings at 2.05, but what the hell.
Taking some of your advice though, i am now on the right track with the "raise" and thanks for your help.

Some tips:
I think the high pitched bell like sound in the verse, is the same sound used as bass and melodi in the first part of Rendez-Vous 5.

There are two different strings playing in left and right all the stuff you also play, the flangered string in the first part, and the Eminent310 type in second, but they actually play the same in most of the second part.

Ooh and then this. I found a way of separating the center chanel, so the things in mono is louder than things in stereo and heard this weird sounding tune:
verse WTF!!
I tried to put it in the song, but i could not get it working, so I skipped it. And no matter how hard I try, I cannot hear it in the normal stereo signal ....weird
But I changed the sharpness of the main brass and put the same modulation on in the verse.

And yes, I used a LOT of neard time
