Another note about sequencers... I don't know how the M3's sequencer compares with others, but here's another little trick to make it sound analog and alive:

Play the parts by hand! :)

Some percussion parts I copy/paste but most of the parts of the music is played by hand into the sequencer (and then it may of course be quantized and fixed up here and there depending on the needs of that particular part). Combined with a little improvisations, parts are not necessarily played exactly the same way every time and this adds to the "aliveness" (is that a word?) of the music. Even small variations in velocity or timing of the notes contribute to this.
