I used http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php# to downlad youtube videos. I don't like the FLV extension and I know it's possible to convert the files into other ordinary extensions.
The website recommends some encoders called SUPER, Riva FLV Encoder and Total Video Conveter.

Do I ahve to be aware of any of these converter programs?

I found a converter program, but the sounds didn't follow the video. The convertign process was quick so I tried different settings without any luck.

Sorry to ask like a jerk, but can you post a direct link to the file? When I push the green button, I get a message saying "No file packages define, this project has not yet created any file release packages."

Hmm seems to have been removed. I have the mac version which is easy to find, the PC version is eluding me - I know it's out there my mate uses it. I will ask him where it is. I did find this http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ffmpegGUI.htm
