What type of reverb is used on this piece, especially on the main lead.
I have 2 Lexicon MPX100 units at my disposal but am unsure which setting would be best?
Considering the time when Oxygene and Equinoxe were made, i use Plate and Spring type settings, to try to match the type of reverb available at this time.matt222 wrote:What type of reverb is used on this piece, especially on the main lead.

Was there real Reverb at that time? There was no DSP's so how did they work?Beelooo wrote:Considering the time when Oxygene and Equinoxe were made, i use Plate and Spring type settings, to try to match the type of reverb available at this time.matt222 wrote:What type of reverb is used on this piece, especially on the main lead.

Plate and spring reverbs work electromechanical. You can read about it herethhedk wrote:Was there real Reverb at that time? I don't know, but I would guess he used both. Early analog delay units (with sufficient repeat heads) are able to produce a useful type of reverb too.thhedk wrote:Any idea what Jarre used in Equinoxe?GeeJee wrote: Plate and spring reverbs work electromechanical. You can read about it here
Yes.Didn't Arp2600 have a built in spring reverb?
Yes, ARP as a built in spring reverb, and Eminent 310 too as far as i know. I don't if the reverb unit in those gear was use in the track, or if JMJ use reverb unit in the mix.thhedk wrote:Any idea what Jarre used in Equinoxe?GeeJee wrote: Plate and spring reverbs work electromechanical.
