ps. currently roland sh01 gaia listens all...

They should respond to all channels. If not, they suck pretty much.

i mean if i need for exmaple form r3 only one part in my tune etc. and i must add Radias this list but if any info about this. but gaia sucks this reason gm parts are allways on.

You should be able to set the channels to which the synth should respond. This is a normal procedure.

Yes but some of them dont allow this for example gaia sh-01. and i want know which ones dont allow and listed synths what i want know about this... and few old analogs listen all channels all of time.

If you've got a keyboard that is in omni mode and won't let you set them to a specific MIDI-channel just use that on its own MIDI interface. Most DAW's will let you have as many MIDI ports as you like. Can assign 16 channels to each device then.

Maybe you just have to try....to read the MIDI implementation charts at page 2 ? :peacemaan:

And if you take a lokk at page 61 of the manual, it says that SH-01 is OMNI Off by default (MODE 3), so maybe a good factory reset + some settings will give you what you want.

Both links give same file. and what i say is based what importer tells to me. and hi is Roland guru at least in importer have one roland guru but i dont be sure if people what ansvered to me is same people but i almost... what info you mean ? and even if set some channels volume to 0 they eat polyphony.
and even in roland clan page anyone dont know how is possible his what i mean.

Here is correct explanation about the MIDI MODE to know exactly what can, and can't do:

MIDI Mode
One of several ways in which a device can respond to incoming MIDI information. There are two parts to each mode, one defining whether it is monophonic or polyphonic, and the other determining if it is multitimbral or not. Four modes are included in the MIDI spec, and two others, Multi Mode and Mono Mode (for MIDI guitar) were developed later.

1. Omni On/Poly - Device responds to MIDI data regardless of channel, and is polyphonic. (See WFTD "Polyphonic")
2. Omni On/Mono - Device responds to MIDI data regardless of channel, and is monophonic. This mode is rarely, if ever, used.
3. Omni Off/Poly - Device responds to MIDI data only on one particular channel, and is polyphonic. This is the normal mode for most keyboards that are not functioning multitimbrally.
4. Omni Off/Mono - Device responds to MIDI data only on one particular channel, and is monophonic.

Multi Mode - Used by many devices for multitimbral operation. An expanded version of Mode 3, Multi Mode allows the device to respond to several independent MIDI channels at once, with each being polyphonic. (See also WFTD "Multitimbral")

Mono Mode - Used for MIDI guitar applications, Mono Mode is an expanded version of Mode 4, allowing for six Omni Off/Monophonic channels to be used at once, one for each string of the controller. This allows for better tracking, independent pitch bend per channel, and a separate sound or patch assignment per channel.


So, if i understand, some of your synth are MODE 1 by default , some are MODE 3, but you want to have several channel in use (not all) for particular synth. So you need the MULTI MODE, and you have to check whatever or not your gears knows this mode. If not, the solution will be to deal with different several MIDI output from your sequencer/DAW ( as said qube).

I know this multiple midi outputs (i mean this way i can use 16 parts for all my synths if they support this) idea but is bit pricey and fights again my computer setup smalles even 8 input soundcard is big.(i use mac mini for music)
ps. i dont even still know if gaia sh-01 even sound nice for me and other synths what i say also thing what i know about this based net demos maybe maybe not. only what i heared some nicer patches (they are not presets) is r3 and radias which uses almost same technology.(only difference is how many midi parts have i think when we forget controls). i must look youtube if there is new gaia sh-01 material...
