This is my idea, and I am more and more sure that this is the way!:

Equinoxe 7

I can't get the portamento to work as I want to in Reason 4.0, but I am sure the MatriSequencer and ARP 2600 is able to do it :)

btw the high tones in the background is played the same way, with this pattern:

Both in the beginning and the more melodic part after the first verse.

There are no vibrato, the effect is done with Legato Portamento.

every note on bass sequence has vary fast pitch up or sth like that. simply use pitch eg

Hmm ok, I haven't heard that, Pitch up?? Sure it is not pitch down?

It is a problem in Reason 4, because the only way I can control the notes via the sequencer, is by controlling the oscilator frequency, så the portamento and other things do not work.

But I am sure this is the way a lot of the basses is made:
EQ4, 5,6,7
MF 1,4 - the bass sound, not the synth bass
