I would not say Jarre's output has been lame by any means. Changed a little but so does everyone's taste.

Oxygene 7-13 is one of his best albums in my humble opinion. I still think Teo & Tea is great.

Revolutions is from the "Golden Era" of Jarre and as far as I'm concerned it can die there.

Many of his albums have somethings I really like and somethings that are annoying. For me Oxygene, Equinoxe, Magnetic Fields, Rendez-Vous, Oxygene 7-13 were perfect from beginning to end. Would almost say the same thing about Chronologie.

Zoolook, a great album but there is one song that is just annoying.

Metamorphoses is a very good album but I'm just not crazy about vocals when it comes to Jarre.

For me Waiting for Cousteau would be a perfect album except for Calypso 1 which just goes on and on but I do like the memories that album conjures up. And it is filled with energy. Still, I'm not crazy about the Steel Drums. For some reason it dates the music for me. Actually Cousteau is a near perfect album for me too but the most annoying aspect is it's just too short!

The stuff he did with Aero (in-between fills plus new tracks and re-imagined tracks) was really nice as were the variations on the re-release of Oxygene.

To say his output for the last 15 years is lame is just a$$inine.

Totally agre with what moviemaker said there. I've been listening to jarre for over 20 years. I collected his music for collecting sake never really listening to the albums. Until recently when walking the dog headphones on and totally quiet i am now getting to hear the things i have missed before. Geometrey of love is a totally amazing album i would personally rate this quite high on my list. I don't know what to expect from a new album hopefully it will be great.

I would agree with most of what you say, Moviemaker - apart from T&T. It's a difficult album to love, specifically as the bad tracks are truly dreadful - the main culprit 'Fresh News' which is all the worse being the opening track of the album - a crucial choice especially for (usually) instrumental works as JMJ's.

I know a lot of people who hated T&T because of tracks like 'Fresh News', and can't get past those to appreciate the superb ones like 'Touch to Remember', 'In The Mood For You' etc.

I could not believe my ears when 'Fresh News' greeted my speakers as the opening salvo in JMJ's first official new album in 7 years ...

What's wrong with "Fresh News"? :P

The only track I can't stand listening to is "Beautiful Agony", can't stand that moaning.
