Robi, Jarre said in his latest blog entry that he would inject new songs as soon as the production reached a certain level of comfort and quality. So he has not given up on that. It's always a good idea to watch shows later in the tour, than earlier. Things needs to grow a bit, in a way you cannot do in rehearsals, where you have the same room all the time, no audience, no rushed construction, etc. Jarre explained it all in his blog. And I know you read it.

Well, I think it looks a bit cheesy and 70s. And JMJ playing golf with the Earth??!!?! Shot on a low budget obviously. But the 1989 version with the penguins are nice and funny

OK, I know what you mean. If you look at JMJ hitting the cymbals after the lead ends, they are out of synch too. About the same delay on them as on the lead. So until further evidence is presented, it looks to me that the video itself is out of synch at that moment. It happens with YouTube videos.

Indeed it does! I've had countless problems with video and audio out of sync, not getting stereo sound because the total video bandwidth wasn't huge enough, videos that were stereo suddenly went mono and other problems.

Audio is not YouTube's strongest side.

That might be on purpose - i.e. to dissuade people from downloading content etc. I have no evidence of this, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I hope we can keep this level of quality next week and maybe even improve it. Then when I will feel we "have" the show, I shall be able to introduce some new songs, but first we need every one in the crew to become in total control and confidence...

we improved the laser harp and thought through ways to use the laser on stage and in space with a 3D approach. That gives the feeling of total immersion into the show for the audience, and will come in handy when we film the concert in 3D in Strasbourg and Liege

I smell a dvd/blu-ray coming!

I wonder what improvements to the laser harp he thinks of here. "3D approach"... Wonder if it means Aero-style laser harp with beams going out over the audience, or Docklands style with bounce mirrors above the playing area, or if it's some new innovation.

It'll be very exciting to see.

On second read-through, it says that the laser harp is improved and that the laser will have more immersion for 3d effects. So not necessarily a radically different laser harp design.

From what I see on the video (but you can't judge by videos) I do think the "laser cone" during Chronologie 6 has the backfire to that purpose : instead of immersion, it isolates Jean Michel furthermore from the audience... I found last year's raw setting a bit more efficient.
