I've done some new arrangements in my studio

The computer will move from behind the displays to inside the big cupboard on the left, with a hole to make somewhere for the cables. Then I hope I won't hear it (the computer) when I record vocals or guitars through the microphone.

I have the same dream. But there is hope for me, yet. Thanxs to Jon , I am gonna buy a Stylophone. This will be my one and only instrument in my studio. Don’t worry, I won’t post pics of my studio when I buy it.

@ SynthX: compliments for your arsenal! (though I agree with the opinion that this arsenal deserves more room/a bigger room to be enjoyed better)

@ Nico: you're getting serious with that stuff! I like how you created a stand for the JP-8000 using empty jars of jam!

@ Radek: your AX-1 is amazing! JMJ himself could ask you for one! I am also curious to hear in action your Dynacord stuff. If you have some demos it would be nice to hear how they sound (they look great and I suppose they sound great)

@ Jeremy: Very nice gear layout / clean studio. From the pics I think you have got also a nice lighting.
As to the computer fan noise, for sure you will get good results if you remote it into the cupboard; you can also have a look at the polar pattern of your microphone to see where it's less sensitive and orient it with an angle so that it takes the less it can from where the noise comes.
If I remember correctly you like to record your voice while playing, so I don't think you'd like to use portable absorbing panels like the ones by sE Electronics (the Reflexion Filter) or Auralex, which anyway could help you in reducing the room character in your recording, especially with condenser mics.

You can also put some noise reduction pads in the computer. Or just buy a mac. It's noiseless
