Our Town Hall celebrates its 100th birthday this year. It's affectionately known as 'the Wedding cake' for the way it was designed. The building at the back of the town hall was used as the backdrop for the tv series 'Life on Mars' (2 series)
Currently, there's an outdoor ice-rink in the town halls piaza and tomorrow, not only will a whole load of streets be closed off and opened up to a variety of entertainment/entertainers, but there will be a firework display to round the evening off (I'd say sometime after 9:30pm UK time) and that firework display is the finale to a monthsworth of celebrations - although, I'm not entirely clear on where the firework display *is*... I'm just hoping that it will be viewable from the college webcam....
But do feel free to click on the link and enjoy watching the view from the webcam as I'll be 'on the ground' taking pictures and getting video and generally enjoying myself and taking in this historic moment :D

One of the ten people who organised the fireworks has responded positively to the video I shot - which is brilliant news :D

The hit count on youtube went up yesterday after pictures were published in our local newspaper :D
