Yup, being the only music-related video in his favourites list is another big honour for me.
I almost don't know what to say anymore - I'm just a little overwhelmed by the fact that Jarre seems to like my cover quite well.
Jarre is probably pretty swamped with messages ("listen to my cover also!", "you're cool" etc.
) and seems to be quite busy these days (which is a good thing), but I've just sent him a personal message to his YouTube channel thanking him for posting the link on his blog and on YouTube. For me as a self-taught amateur musician, receiving such kind words from Jarre himself really means a lot to me.

Making those electronic blips and blops should be quite fun with this song (Korg Radias, here I come!), as it was with Oxygene II. Maybe I'll to a cover of it as well. I'm considering something in the direction of the Concerts in China variant of Equinoxe 4, soundwise speaking, but I'll probably come up with a version that has more of a rfoshaug sound to it.
Anyways, it'll be a while before it can be finished, as I will be on summer vacation for the next few weeks. I will bring the synths with me, but I won't have access to decent speakers for the mixing/mastering phase.
Also, now I do feel a little bit of pressure as a "normal" or "plain" cover won't be enough for this demanding audience (including JMJ himself).
Oh, well, I'll just have to put that way back in my mind and concentrate on making the cover the way I want it. After all, that's what I've done with my covers so far.
