That could be true. But if the EKO was used on Oxygene it would be only as a trig device. There are no drum sounds from it on the album AFAIK.

It will explain better than my bad english. Just remember that they did this with reel-to-reel tapes back in the past. It has better quality. Other than that it's pretty much the same.

I would say the RMI and the EMS AKS. But I won't question the man himself.

I would say that it could be if JMJ fed the sound through the filter of either the ARP or EMS.
At first I also believed that the EMS AKS was responsible for the O2 loop. But then somebody on this forum...I think it was Leodav...said that the sequencer couldn't be programmed with that many steps!?

AKS had 256 step sequencer. There were only 2 places in this sequence where the tape was cut. Also... The sequence tempo is DIFFRENT from original track [sth bout... ~8 bpm's diffrence]

I really doubt that EKO or RC were used on Oxygene

There is sth like cable interface [just like in Oberheims] which was used with Matrisequencer i think + in/out... dunnow if it was audio in or what?

Anyway what excatly does the sequencerpart look on the Synthi? We have seen JMJ with the Synthi w/ membranekeyboard.

I remember discussing it in late 2006 on EM forum, and it's been discussed here. But I still don't know if he used the 2600 or the RMI for that sequence. Or how it was sequenced in the first place, though LeoDav makes a pretty good case that it was done with 2 ARP sequencers.

The organ sequence sound in Oxygene 5 comes from eminent. I can't remember which registers sould be used but I'm 100% sure it was Eminent.

The horn strings during Oxy 2 square part are from Eminent [oboe + french horn or sth like that]

That's means he hand sequenced that entire sequence. Bloody hell.
Why did they then get all riled up about sequencing the Equinoxe 1 strings, and how the Eminent couldn't be sequenced, when "they'd" already done it by hand 2 years earlier?

Maybe he played it slowly on tape and then had the sequenced sped up.

Yeah that's exactly what I said, but my question still stands. I wonder why they mentioned having problems with trying to electronically sequence the Eminent for Equinoxe 1, which they couldn't and then had to by hand, when they'd already done a sequence by hand for Oxygene 5?

Both sequences are roughly of the same complexity, the only thing being, the O5 sequence was faster.

MG mentioned that 70% of the album went through the Electric Mistress in more or less degree.
