I doubt Clavia will come up with any new Nord Lead, since the Wave etered the market. However there are still a few things they could update on the original Nord Lead series. It's not really much of a problem, as OSC2 can go very high or low on octaves, but OSC1 is not moveable in either semitones or detune. Each OSC should have a separate PWM parameter, and the arp separated from LFO2. The LFO2 should then be identical to LFO1. I tend to use LFO1 only, as LFO2 runs the same waveform as LFO1. At last I'd like some of the masterparameters to be connected to memory, instead of being independent and the same for all pacthes.
Eventhough I would have liked these improvements, I still prefer the 2x as my mainsynth, and won't change it for something like a Virus with more features. In the end my creativity isn't killed by these lacking features.
