There's a nice hardware sequencer called the DOEPFER DARK TIME, it has a random mode.

Yes, I have both an Ion and a Micron. They are excellent synthesizers. But maybe not the best synths for a beginner because the interface is quite complicated.

The Waldorf Blofeld is a great synth, both powerful and flexible. With careful programming you should be able to create sounds that are close to some of JMJ's sounds.

But for leads and basslines and effects I recommend getting a REAL analog synth as well as the Blofeld. Jarre nearly always uses ...

On many Internet websites Jarre is listed as a user of the PPG Wave. But I've never heard any typical PPG Wave sounds on his albums and I've never seen the PPG Wave listed on his album sleeves.
