I swore to myself that I would not buy another peice of gear unless I stumbled across a Synthex. But this.... I like this A LOT. Looks overpriced but they are hard to come by!

check out the size of the Heatsink on the back
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!this beast must heat up like a Microwave to justify having one of those fitted!!!!no wonder there unstable!!!
I have an 500 watt amp with a smaller heatsink than that!!!
if it doesnt stay in tune to play something musical,at least you could cook up some Lunch on the heatsink whilst you wait for it to drift back in tune!!!

I've seen a memorymoog for sale a few months ago for only 1400 euro's.

Too big for me, allthough very nice looking.
The estimated price on vintage synth explorer is up to 2000 $.

Yes ,you'd think some of these idiots would realise that and lower it a more sensible price!!!! just a case of greed gives what greed wants...
TBH,if i had one of these,no amount of money in the world would persuade me to sell it,even with a huge profit incentive,these instruments are just too priceless to sell on for a little extra.
Still I'm sure some guy with more money than sense will buy it off him at that overinflated price,although its in mint condition and hopefully if it works as well as it looks then i'm sure its a good buy for anyone interested in Moogs,even if the Memorys were prone to malfunctioning most of the time...

"Priceless" = over inflated price. Since it's rare to come across, someone that has the money burning a hole in their pocket will probably buy it. I posted a link to an over inflated Prophet 10 that was on EBay a while back; beautiful board but they wanted your firstborn for it.
I guess as long as someone is willing to pay the overinflated price... they will continue to sell them that high. I'm with you Equin(00)xe, if I ever owned this board it would never leave my studio! I'll probably be "that guy" when I find a Synthex.

The memorymoog was a great synth in the early 80's. This synth was like having 8 minimoogs wierd together. Alot of people used them in live concerts. The who used it on the face dances tour and david bowe used it on the lets dance tour. even though jmj used one in a few concerts i think he was using it as a midi controller
