This is an official Sony Music product? I doubt it. It does look kinda cute. And odd they didn't include Moon Machine this time.
Ah, according to Discogs they're using the 30th anniversary edition

The reason I doubt it is real is because you can only buy it at Amazon UK, there's zero promotion from Sony and the whole Iconic Albums series is... well, kinda naff. It includes an album by Die Flippers (who doesn't remember them?) and one by Milli Vanilli... plus, why link to the 30th anniversary edition when the 40th anniversary edition just came out?

But they look cool though, kudos for the person who made them.

I bought one and it links to a zatap.io site, just like Versailles 400 did.
There are a few extras: you can download the full album, there's a scan of the back of the album and some artwork from the booklet. Also, there's a player and two videos on the making of the Zoolook video. This you can also find on youtube:

And there's a rather easy quiz.

It's not really a "making of" film, rather a collection of unedited b-roll footage. There's no interviews with the director, crew, creative team, explanation about where the ideas that informed the story-telling came from, why this story when the music is instrumental, and why robots and automatons. So much more could be told about this track and this video. This is just a download of footage without context. A shame more wasn't done with this archive.

my question would be: is this item worth buying/having from a die hard collector's perspective in terms of physical Jarre material? opinions welcome....

Yeah, I think it is. It's a box with a very small disc. It's not that any music is stored on it, but it gives you access to some. How long that will last remains to be seen of course.
