Well, dunno if he was looking for a VA, but I wouldn't buy a VA in stead of my JD, no way...

For all the new JD-800 users I'd suggest to try this great freeware from Laurent Lecatelier-Dudec:

JD-800 Patch Organizer

I discovered it four years ago at Steve's website (sadly gone) and I still love and use it.
You can view bank contents, audition a single patch without need of dumping the whole bank, you can create your own banks from scratch, search a single patch from all your banks, or just use it to send and receive banks to the computer. A great tool.

Welcome to the JD-800 owners's club

I'm using the patch organizer since the day I own mine, it's a wonderful tool.

Just be careful with one thing with the JD-800, clean it very often. Dust in the circuits can provoke a typical JD-800 berzerk (auto-programming...)
