I have a number of the 1976, Motors purple label releases of the album and two I'm having trouble identifying.
I've tried Discogs, and let's say close, but no cigar.
Also one has a very strange mix going on across the whole album. Error pressing???

Album 1
IDM made in France printed sideways next to the polydor logo.
2933 207 with the Y underneath.
Track listing above the centre error on both sides.

Album 2

IDM made in France printed underneath the polydor logo.
2933 207 with the Y underneath.
Track listing below center line.
Italic Composed by.
This one sounds realy strange. An odd mix I've never heard before.

I remember there's a different mixer. One is done by Jean-Pierre Janiaud, the other I dont't know. Maybe there's a difference there?

Many thanks for the reply,
Both are credited to Jean-Pierre Janiaud
It's certainly different from all my other purple labels

It's the same basic tunes, but noticeable different.
Is there a way to post it without copyright issues? I'd be happy to post some samples up.

Samples are fine, 30 seconds is usually OK. You can upload them here as attachments, 2mb maximum file size.

I've listened closely to it and I think its alomst a timing issue between the left and right channel. I've saved a couple of files but I'm not sure how to upload them onto here as samples.

I can hear the difference when I play it on my normal system. B&O 3500 with MMC, so it will be interesting to see if this difference is still noticeable on the files which I've recorded using my old iON usb turntable.

How do I upload?

You can click on the Full Editor & Preview, and then you see an attachments tab. That's where you can upload files (maximum 2MB). If they're uploaded, you will get a button to put it in your post.

If it doesn't work, you can send them to me, I'll try to upload them. My email address is in my profile

I've just listened to both of them and whilst not as pronounced. The issue is still there.
Anyone else hear it. You can hear it on the 'click' track

I'm going to sample ox1 as well shortly. It's quite pronounced on the scales towards the start. Almost sounds 8bit in comparison

there's also a muffling to these recordings, its not obvious when played on the B&O system, but I'm almost wondering if it could be a contemporary fake?

interesting none the less.

I've also just waiting on another copy the same so could be interesting listening.
